David R. Dietrich, M.D. General Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Joint Replacement Surgery Dr. David Dietrich joined Southern Orthopedic Specialists, P.A. in the fall of 2001. Previously he had served as an orthopedic surgeon and Chief of Orthopedic Surgical Services on active duty with the United States Air Force at Tyndal AFB and MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida. |
| Dr. Dietrich earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 from The Ohio State University, and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1992. He then completed a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical University of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. Subsequently, he entered active duty military service with the USAF. Dr. Dietrich maintains an avid interest in aviation and currently serves as the medical officer for the Tyndal Panama Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, Florida Wing, and is actively pursuing the qualifications to become a mission pilot.
