Rafael M.M. Williams, M.D.
Hand Surgery
Dr. Rafael Williams graduated from New York University in New York City with degrees in both Biology and Economics in 1991. He attended medical school at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center |
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2001. Following his residency, Dr. Williams completed a one-year upper extremity fellowship with Hand Surgery Specialists in Cincinnati, Ohio in July of 2002. His fellowship training involved both common and complex issues of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. He joined Southern Orthopedic Specialists, P.A. in August of 2002.
Dr. Williams practices general orthopedics with an emphasis on the hand and the upper extremity. Dr. Williams treats sports related injuries, arthritic (degenerative) conditions and problems that affect all aspects of the arm.
Board Certification
Dr. Williams is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
